Our Garlic & Herb Spread Mix is one of those pantry heroes that quietly transforms everything it touches. Just one teaspoon whisked into a full stick of melted butter creates the most aromatic, deeply flavored garlic herb butter that coats every single piece of biscuit dough in pure savory perfection. No measuring out individual herbs and spices, no chopping garlic — just one simple mix that does all the work for you and tastes like you spent the whole afternoon in the kitchen.
As the pull aparts bake, that gorgeous garlic herb butter soaks into every layer of flaky biscuit dough, creating a bread that is crispy on the outside, soft and pull-apart tender on the inside, and absolutely packed with flavor from top to bottom. And that final five minute rest upside down in the pan after baking? That is the move that lets every last drop of that incredible butter soak back into the bread for the most indulgent, irresistible result imaginable. Ingredients
- 2 cans (10 oz. each) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. Magnolias Garlic & Herb Spread Mix, dry
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated and divided
Note: Additional salt is not needed if you are using salted butter or margarine.
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 12-cup tube pan (bundt style) generously with butter, margarine or cooking spray.
- Melt butter or margarine in a microwave safe bowl. Sprinkle the dry Garlic & Herb Spread Mix over the melted butter and whisk well with a fork to combine. Some small lumps may remain and that is completely fine.
- Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
- One at a time, coat each biscuit piece in the garlic herb butter and arrange them in the bottom of the prepared pan, creating one even layer around the pan.
- Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese (1/8 cup) over this first layer.
- Continue coating the remaining biscuit pieces in butter and add a second layer on top of the first in the pan.
- Pour any remaining garlic herb butter evenly over all the biscuit pieces in the pan. Top with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and the dough is cooked through in the center.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then invert the pan onto a large serving dish. Allow the pan to remain upside down for another 5 minutes — this lets the residual butter soak back down into all the biscuit pieces for maximum flavor and richness.
- Remove the pan, serve warm and enjoy every single compliment! 🧄✨
Tips For The Perfect Garlic & Herb Biscuit Pull Aparts
Don't rush the upside down rest. That five minute wait after inverting the pan is one of the most important steps in this whole recipe. All that gorgeous garlic herb butter that pooled at the bottom of the pan during baking soaks back into the biscuits as it rests upside down, giving you a pull apart bread that is incredibly flavorful and moist all the way through. It is absolutely worth the wait.
Grease the pan generously. A well greased bundt pan means a clean and beautiful release every time. Be thorough getting into all the curves and grooves of the pan so your pull aparts come out perfectly intact and gorgeous. Cooking spray works wonderfully here for full and even coverage.
Use flaky biscuit dough for the best result. Flaky layered biscuit dough creates the most beautiful pull apart texture because each piece separates into those gorgeous tender layers as it bakes. The layers soak up the garlic herb butter beautifully and give you that classic pull apart experience in every piece.
Do not overcrowd the pan. Two cans of biscuit dough cut into quarters fits perfectly in a standard 12-cup bundt pan in two layers. Resist the urge to add more — proper spacing allows each piece to bake through evenly and ensures the center cooks all the way before the outside gets too dark.
Serve immediately for the best experience. These pull aparts are at their absolute best warm from the oven when the butter is still fragrant and the edges are still slightly crisp. Plan to bake them right before serving and bring them to the table in all their golden, garlicky glory. 🧄🧈
